[Appel FR] Les conflits se multiplient dans le monde entier, la loi du plus fort piétine de plus en plus le droit international et le multilatéralisme, l’autoritarisme gagne du terrain, les armes nucléaires continuent de menacer l’humanité et, malgré tout cela, des milliards sont dépensés dans le militaire et l’armement et dans la préparation des conflits. Ce sont les travailleurs et travailleuses, les familles et notre planète qui en paient le prix.
Nous nous opposons à la militarisation irresponsable de notre société. Nous sommes opposés aux projets de l’UE visant à dépenser 800 milliards d’euros supplémentaires en armement, argent qui est retiré des services sociaux, des soins de santé, de l’éducation, du travail, de la consolidation de la paix, de la coopération internationale, d’une transition juste et de la justice climatique. Comme en Belgique, où des économies sociales massives sont présentées comme nécessaires, tandis que des dépenses militaires supplémentaires passent sans débat.
L’Europe doit se remettre de la fièvre guerrière et arrêter de capitaliser sur un climat de peur afin de laisser à nouveau place à une perspective de paix et de désarmement, seule voie possible pour notre avenir commun.
Nous appelons toutes celles tous ceux qui choisissent la paix et la justice sociale à participer à une manifestation européenne à Bruxelles pour plaider en faveur d’investissements pour la société et non dans la guerre.
Nous exigeons :
– Pour la paix et la sécurité – des investissements dans les soins de santé, l’éducation, le travail décent, la justice, la transition climatique et la protection sociale, et non dans la militarisation de la société
– Pour le respect du droit international – le respect de la Charte des Nations Unies, la défense des droits humains et des droits du travail, la promotion de la justice sociale et climatique
– Pour le dialogue et la diplomatie – rassembler les peuples et les pays, plutôt que de les monter les uns contre les autres
– Pour l’investissement dans la solidarité et la coopération internationales – le développement durable est la meilleure garantie d’une société stable et sécurisée, et donc le meilleur moyen de prévenir les conflits
– Pour le désarmement – le contrôle des armements et le désarmement nucléaire garantissent la paix et la sécurité.

[oproep NL] Conflicten nemen wereldwijd toe, het recht van de sterkste krijgt steeds meer de overhand op het internationaal recht en het multilateralisme, autoritarisme is in opmars, kernwapens blijven de mensheid bedreigen… Desondanks worden miljarden uitgegeven aan legers en wapens om conflicten voor te bereiden. Het zijn werknemers, gezinnen en onze planeet die hiervoor de prijs betalen.
Wij verzetten ons tegen de onverantwoordelijke militarisering van onze samenleving. Wij zijn tegen de plannen van de EU om 800 miljard euro extra uit te geven aan wapens, geld dat wordt weggehaald van sociale voorzieningen, gezondheidszorg, onderwijs, arbeid, vredesopbouw, internationale samenwerking, duurzame energietransitie en klimaatrechtvaardigheid. Deze Europese trend zien we ook in België, waar massale sociale besparingen worden verkocht als noodzakelijk, maar bijkomende militaire uitgaven zonder debat passeren.
Europa moet genezen van de oorlogskoorts en het angstklimaat zodat er terug ruimte ontstaat voor een perspectief op vrede en ontwapening, de enige weg naar een duurzame toekomst.
We roepen iedereen op die kiest voor vrede en sociale rechtvaardigheid om op 14 juni deel te nemen aan de Europese betoging in Brussel om te pleiten voor investeringen in mensen, niet in oorlog.
We komen op:
– Voor vrede en veiligheid – investeringen in gezondheidszorg, onderwijs, waardig werk, klimaattransitie en sociale bescherming, niet in de militarisering van de maatschappij
– Voor respect voor internationaal recht – naleving van het VN-Handvest, de verdediging van mensenrechten en arbeidsrechten, het bevorderen van sociale en klimaatrechtvaardigheid
– Voor dialoog en diplomatie – mensen en landen samenbrengen, in plaats van ze tegen elkaar op te zetten
– Voor investeringen in internationale solidariteit en samenwerking – duurzame ontwikkeling is de beste garantie voor een veilige en stabiele samenleving en dus conflictpreventie
– Voor ontwapening – wapenbeheersing en nucleaire ontwapening zorgen voor vrede en veiligheid.
Doe mee en strijd voor een Europa van vrede en solidariteit.
[Call EN] Conflicts are on the rise across the globe; the law of the jungle is increasingly trampling on international law and multilateralism; authoritarianism is gaining ground; nuclear weapons continue to threaten humanity; and, despite all this, billions are being spent on the military, armaments and preparations for conflict. It is workers, families and our planet that pay the price.
We oppose the irresponsible militarisation of our society. We oppose the EU’s plans to spend an additional €800 billion on armaments, money that is being diverted from social services, healthcare, education, employment, peacebuilding, international cooperation, a just transition and climate justice. As in Belgium, where massive cuts to social services are presented as necessary, whilst additional military spending is approved without debate.
Europe must recover from its war fever and stop capitalising on a climate of fear, so as to make way once again for a vision of peace and disarmament – the only possible path for our shared future.
We call on all those who choose peace and social justice to take part in a European demonstration in Brussels to advocate for investment in society, not in war.
We demand:
– For peace and security – investment in healthcare, education, decent work, justice, the climate transition and social protection, rather than in the militarisation of society
– For respect for international law – compliance with the United Nations Charter, the defence of human rights and labour rights and the promotion of social and climate justice
– For dialogue and diplomacy – bringing peoples and countries together, rather than pitting them against one another
– For investment in international solidarity and cooperation – sustainable development is the best guarantee of a stable and secure society, and therefore the best way to prevent conflicts
– For disarmament – arms control and nuclear disarmament guarantee peace and security.
